In the constantly evolving landscape of environmental comfort technologies, BLDC heat pumps stand out as a benchmark for efficiency, versatility, and innovation. Available in air-to-water and geothermal versions, with R410A and R32 refrigerants, these units are designed to meet the needs of residential, commercial, and industrial applications, starting from a base capacity of 30 kW, expandable according to system requirements.

Inverter technology and BLDC compressor

The heart of the BLDC system is a brushless DC inverter compressor (from which the name BLDC is derived), allowing precise power modulation based on actual thermal demand. This results in higher seasonal efficiency, lower energy consumption, and a significant reduction in ON/OFF cycles, with direct benefits in terms of compressor lifespan and end-user comfort.

Inverter technology enables high performance even in extreme weather conditions, ensuring constant control of supply and return temperatures. It is ideal for systems that require a flexible response, both during mid-season transitions and during peak summer and winter periods.

Air-to-water and geothermal: a complete range

The BLDC range includes air-to-water solutions for quicker and simpler installations, and geothermal solutions, ideal for high energy-efficiency contexts where ground heat can be utilized. Both types share the same modular and compact design approach, with minimal footprint and easy integration, even in architecturally sensitive environments.

Air-to-water

  • Suitable for retrofits and new buildings
  • Ideal for multi-family housing, schools, offices, gyms, and hospitality facilities
  • Efficient operation even at low outdoor temperatures
  • Outdoor installation without the need for geothermal drilling

Geothermal

  • Uses the most stable heat source available (the ground)
  • High and consistent COP values throughout the year
  • An excellent choice for NZEB or passive buildings
  • Lower noise emissions and visual impact

The added value of R32 refrigerant

One of the distinguishing features of the new generation of BLDC heat pumps is the use of R32 refrigerant, offered as an alternative to the traditional R410A. R32 is a sustainable and forward-looking choice, offering numerous technical and environmental advantages:

  • 68% lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) compared to R410A
  • Higher thermodynamic efficiency, resulting in lower consumption
  • Reduced refrigerant charge required
  • Easily recoverable and recyclable
  • Compliant with the stricter European F-Gas regulations

The use of R32 in the air-to-water models of the BLDC line reinforces the commitment to a responsible energy transition, reducing environmental impact without compromising performance.

DHW production with MAGIS system

The MAGIS system is an advanced heat recovery technology that enables the simultaneous production of heating and cooling energy, optimizing efficiency based on system demand. Thanks to a third heat exchanger, it is possible to recover 100% of the condensation heat to produce domestic hot water (DHW) up to 70°C, reducing energy consumption and boosting performance. Ideal for complex applications, it allows for intelligent and flexible system management, simplifying plant design and lowering operating costs.

Application versatility: from residential to industrial

BLDC heat pumps, starting from 30 kW, are designed to easily adapt to a wide range of installation scenarios:

  • Centralized Residential: ideal for apartment buildings or groups of villas with low-temperature systems (radiators, fan coils, or underfloor heating)
  • Tertiary Sector: schools, offices, sports centers, public buildings
  • Industrial and Commercial: manufacturing facilities, warehouses, industrial sheds, logistics centers

The modular versions allow for cascading multiple units, optimizing partial loads and ensuring uninterrupted operation even during scheduled maintenance.

Simplified installation and advanced controls

Another key advantage of BLDC units is their ease of installation. The compact design and front access to all internal components significantly reduce installation and maintenance time.

Advanced electronic controls enable multi-zone management, climate curve adjustment, integration with photovoltaic systems, and connection to BMS (Building Management System) supervision platforms. The control modules are ready for remote monitoring, making system management and diagnostics easier for technicians.

In addition, the system is fully compatible with smart thermostats, temperature probes, and smartphone app controls, offering a complete and user-friendly experience for the end user.

Quiet operation and seamless design integration

BLDC units are also designed to be discreet and quiet, with sound pressure levels among the lowest in their category. The meticulous mechanical and acoustic design makes them suitable even for high-density residential areas or near sensitive buildings such as schools or hospitals.

The compact and clean design allows for easy integration into façades or small technical rooms.

Conclusion: the choice of the future

Choosing BLDC means investing in a flexible, powerful, and environmentally friendly technology. With options for geothermal or air-to-water systems, R410A or R32 refrigerants, capacities starting from 30 kW, and a wide range of accessories and configurations, this system is perfectly suited to meet the evolving needs of sustainable building.

It is a solution designed for those who look to the future with responsibility, without compromising on performance, energy savings, or long-term reliability.
